SO... YeeHAW... I have an interview booked for Thursday morning for the job I applied to on Friday!!
In fact, to get that far, I survived 2 phone interviews today. One in English and one in French. Now who would have thought I should be plugging the fact I can speak that foolish tongue? I never consider it a skill, it's just something I use when I need it! The fact I read to my daughter in french every chance I get, and use it every chance I get....well OK damnit, I guess it's a marketable skill. AND a highly sought after one.
SO.. . Interview on Thursday... UP sides of this job...Salary, 30-32K, Full Time, Entry Level to my field, DOWNSIDES _ rotational 8hr shifts between 7am-11:30pm, 7 days a week. Location (about 41 min by car according to Mapquest - which doesn't account for traffic or time of day). SO..the downsides, may mean I have to consider cancelling my evening classes. This would be a SUCKY thing. BUT - if I'm that marketable? hmmmWell, again, KUDOS to the JobFinding Club for helping me right a kickass cover letter and I have my mock interview with them tomorrow. - they will also help me figure out how to negotiate!!I want to get a couple of more applications out - for local, days only type work. Just so I don't back myself into a corner.
Katina is doing great at Oma's. She's having a great time and I think Oma is thrilled to have her. I know I should be looking at a more long term child care solution but I don't know how to do that until I know how the job situation is going to pan out.
On another Note... I got to talk to
