K is nursing a low level fever.
She's clingy and tired.

We succeeded on one required errand, now we're back home and her request is CUDDLE.
Not having anything pressing, that doesn't involve puttering around here, I'm game to honour that request.

SO, I'm headed up to grab a load of laundry, then down to unpack a box or two of toys to her shelves down there.

We'll see how things feel in a few hours, if skating or sledding hits the list, but I hate pushing her when she's feeling low.

I'm sleepy myself. I need more GOOD nights of sleep. Wish I could figure out the cure.

WOW...
It's been a wild week. Let's seee.....

Oh yeah...LAST FRIDAY (Mar 3rd) I drank a whole bottle of wine for no particularly good reason.
Sat - spent with [livejournal.com profile] k_calypso...and was joined by [livejournal.com profile] mylostmarbles watching a marathon of Firefly
Sun - The GIG...and lost a cherry!! ;)
Mon - Lost another one!! with the aid of several hundrreds of feet of rope
Tues - Dinner with cousin - who's actually another cool, self-actualizing person, though not quite Tribe...but WORTH finding more time with...
Wed- daughter's Ballet Dance recital (SOOOOOO CUTE)
Thurs - HIDE from the world
Fri - Ran away from work early, got K's x-rays done (check in on the sinus situation) and my bloodwork done again, hung out with [livejournal.com profile] trinshadow and family, then an evening with [livejournal.com profile] persephoneplace, enjoying wine and warm conversation
Sat - groceries with [livejournal.com profile] trinshadow, playing chase, learned to crochet with [livejournal.com profile] ladygiggles, while [livejournal.com profile] knotty_mark and [livejournal.com profile] blackorchid1 cleared Ice from my walk-way!! and fixed my drawers! LATE supper at Mongolian Grill, joined by [livejournal.com profile] k_calypso, who had a need to finish the FIREFLY marathon from the previous weekend and top it off with a dose of SERENITY
Sun - THE GIG, wandering the shopping complex at Bridgeport & Weber, car was cleaned out, naps were had...practice crochet...took [livejournal.com profile] k_calypso home, made parenting suggestions, got some stuff OUT of my head...and now to bed.

This week, brings nothing more exicting than vacumming on evening, baking another evening...possibly painting on a third... But next weekend again is shaping up to be busy, fun and sociable.
My goal is to be HOME in the evenings this week. If you want to come by for coffee or to lend a presence (cause I'm motivated when I'm not alone!!), comment here and we'll compare calendars!!

BACK to your regularly scheduled week.

At home.

Work elected to call and tell us we could either work from home or take the day off as a Family Day/Snow Day or brave the roads and head it. Evidently my bosses hadn't listened to his voicemail. I'm home REGARDLESS.

X-Rays have already happened...and can I just say...having a GARAGE ROCKS!!! When we got back, little miss "I have a cough but want to play wrestling" decided she could help shovel snow...so we did..>What a WEIRD consistency this snow is...It is like shoveling salt...seriously...it's light but heavy...it doesn't pack together, but fans out when you toss it off the shovel...It's weird. Then we wandered down to get the mail (something I should probably do with greater frequency) and now have to sort out and work my head around financials, and what is due when and what's automated...

I'm hoping to get some filing re-arranged here so it's easier for me to put my hands on things like...Current Tax info, benefits information, bills etcs... I still feel like this is "Joe's Office" and "Joe's Job" but it isn't... He knows I hope to make the area more user friendly for myself, and as I am inclined to label everything, I think he'll adapt well when he gets home.

Stolen days at home like this are NOT good for me... I have a to do list that this time should be getting done, but I find it so hard to adjust my head into that space that I end up taking this time as "lazy time" and I can't really be doing that.

As for work/Daycare, I'm hoping to get [livejournal.com profile] trinshadow to come by here to babysit Tues & Wed, and possibly Friday. Thursday I was scheduled to work from home anyway...though bringing the kidlet along for lunch with [livejournal.com profile] much_ado might put a crimp in things...Perhaps I'll MAKE you lunch and you could come here??

*My headspace just got shook* more on that on a different filter LATER...maybe.

Anyway...It's 11:30, I would like to get some work done, so I'm gonna log out of here, put a load of laundry in, and pull out the laptop. Wish me luck.

K has been having nosebleeds... A LOT... daily now since last Friday.

I'm up, cause I am doing research...gah...

Best site I've found so far, no fearmongering, nor minimizing.... her penchant to have every stuffed animal in her bed all at one time, also rings true to this. I'll dump everybody in the dryer tomorrow...this and the bags under her eyes, which appear to respond to regular eyedrops speaks to allergies in a big way....*sigh*

I've been an inconsistent parent. Time to get back on the program...

oh, and to get some quotes for a whole house humidifier...

It's miserable out there....cold, wet, rainy..

Even so, the kidlet and I wandered to see if the local OEYC was open (it wasn't), played hopscotch in the rain, and wandered home.  Changed out of our wet clothes, cleaned our rooms and made our beds.

I had coffee and read the paper (just to confirm I do not want it being sent here!!) while kidlet played on her "up to ten" website.  We drew pictures, wrestlee, have played bomberman, chatted with great grandma on the computer, she's learning Mario Brothers on her own and it's only 11:30.

I think today's plan will inclue a run out for milk and ham, and possibly some ballet slippers (hallowe'en ballarina alert!!)...and a box or two may get packed...

LOL *she's now playing spiderman/venom for the Super Nintendo...and doing well....

I never got to play video games as a kid.  I'menjoying watching her button-mash!!

Company's welcome!!  Call first if you want in on the ham and scalloped potatoes...
