So, I'm going through an insomniac phase...check the time stamp peoples...
It's highly stress induced... I am feeling SO out of control. We are both struggling with the stupid job hunt thing in a crazy crazy way. I did have a nice interview on Tuesday, that I think went well. But there are no looking at start dates until January. NOW...really this should be great right. Interviewing now for positions in January gives me the Xmas season off completely. * AND NO I am NOT picking up a RETAIL Temporary Job... (for one thing, it would void what little EI I have left) and I am making more on that then I can earn temporarily so I am not taking a position until it runs out. Crazy YES, but pays the bills for now. Once EI is out, then I will start contacting the temp agency and see if I can't "FALL" into yet another career. I figure I have 3 unwanted, unscheduled careers under my belt now, why not head on over for the next.
See, job hunting for people who HAVE skills (especially quick-learners with computer literacy skills) SUCKS... You look at every posting and say "I can do that". But that doesn't mean I would enjoy doing that, would care about that, and WANT to do that. I know, I know, beggars can't be choosers... WELL, until I hit that point, I am trying to maintain some control.
Other factors...Robin has officially moved in. I am loving the new household food requirements and feeling motivated for the first time in a long time. I even started a video this morning (ok Yesterday morning). We're having troubles with the NEON on wet days, which means it's something randomly electrical... YUCK... DO NOT BUY CHRYSLER NEONS... damn care is the WORST investment we ever made. And I LOVE MY SUBARU DEALERSHIP.
Katina is a sleeping nightmare. She won't go to bed at reasonably so we are trying a new tack. Joe took pictures of her at each stage of hte night time routine tonight. Tomorrow we're going to print the pictures and make a BIG WALL CHART for her door. Every night she gets through the process and STAYS IN BED, she gets a STAR STICKER ...and after 5 Star Stickers daddy is gonna take her out for ice cream. BLATENT bribery but it worked with potty training, so we're trying it here. FUNNY, tonight it was perfect routine...she hadn't napped so was tired from last night charade and no nap, SO stayed in bed first try!! She starts the morning with her first sticker!!
ba ba ba.... gonna close my eyes and shut the computer down, maybe I can get some more sleep.
